Nationwide Introduces New  App for iPhone: Nationwide Mobile

Nationwide has now become the first major insurer to introduce an application for the iPhone with the creation of the Nationwide Mobile application.  This new application can be downloaded by anyone with an iPhone, whether they are prospects or current Nationwide customers, and this app shows Nationwide's commitment to adapt to the way customers live and work.  Since its release in early 2009, the Nationwide Mobile app has been downloaded more than 85,000 times and 248 auto insurance claims have been initiated through the app.

-Helps you collect and exchange accident info
-Stores your insurance and vehicle info for easy lookup
-Coverts your iPhone into a handy flashlight

Nationwide Introduces 2nd New App for iPhone--Cartopia

Cartopia is an exciting new application for iPhone and iPod Touch that is designed to help car buyers pick the car that's right for them.  This free app helps customers by providing:

-Free vehicle history scores for up to 6 used vehicles each month
-Unbiased third-party pricing information--such as the invoice price, trade-in value and retail cost--from IntelliChoice to help buyers get a fair deal
-Safety information from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety
-Vehicle specifications including length, weight and seating capacity
-Ability to rank and compare vehicles based on the details most important to the use
-Tools to estimate monthly payments and the total cost of ownership, which calculates the cost to purchase and operate a vehicle over five years (depreciation, financing, insurance, fuel, maintenance, hybrid tax credit and gas guzzler credit)
-Ability to take (or use existing) photos of cars and organize them by thumbnails
-Nationwide Insurance agent locator so users can find an agent by current location, zip or name
